First Time Trick or Treating in Elara, Here’s how it works :

Its Simple, Use our map to identify houses registered to participate and accept trick or treaters !

  1. Navigate around the neighborhood & visit the houses on the map, Knock on the door and say “TRICK OR TREAT”

  2. Some houses (Marked in BLACK on the Map) are decorated for the Halloween house decoration event & they will have a QR Code signboard in their front yard

  3. Use the signboard to scan the QR code and access the voting page for the event, Enter your 3 Favorite houses to be counted for the “Peoples Choice” award $300 VISA Gift Card

  4. There are houses who are participating who do not have obvious decorations, They will have an orange balloon tied to their mail box to indicate that they are still participating

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT :

  • Our TOP PRIORITY is to run a SAFE event for our residents & children

  • Please be courteous always & mindful of neighbors who are not participating and their property

  • STAY on the footpaths and take any rubbish with you or dispose of it appropriately

  • USE EXTREME CAUTION when crossing the roads and moving around near traffic

  • ASSIST ANY CHILDREN you can to cross the road safely and who might need assistance at the front door during the trick or treat hunt

  • Please encourage your children to be courteous and use their manners - It’s not a race there is enough treats to go around

  • An PINK balloon will usually indicate that the house has treats to give but not all houses will have balloons so they are just a guide only

  • IF you see a sign saying “NO MORE TREATS” please respect their privacy they are done for the night !

  • THE HOUSES WITH THE MOST TREATS ARE IN THE GREEN ZONE, GET OUT AND EXPLORE THE COMMUNITY AS HOUSES IN THE RED ZONE RUN OUT QUICKLY !

There are 3 categories competitors can win prizes in, Voting begins 9am October 31st and ends at midnight.
Trick or treaters travelling around the estate are invited to tell us who they think deserved the prizes !

  1. PEOPLES CHOICE - This is for the house which received the MOST amount of votes.
    (Winner gets a $200 VISA Giftcard)

  2. OVERALL BEST - This is for the house with the best “most creative” decoration’s.
    The winner is decided by tallying cumulative votes received in the “favorite house” & “most creative” house voting categories
    THEN the numbers will be presented to last years winner Mrs Jordi Mackay of 82 Westbrook Circuit who will be the final Judge.
    (Winner gets a $200 VISA Giftcard)

  3. SCARIEST HOUSE - This is for the house with the “Scariest” decoration concept, We have had some VERY unique ones in the past !
